  • I sat observing this scene with my camera at the ready. I’d already taken some photographs of the giraffe all grazing at different times but I wanted to capture something different. I wanted to capture the moment when all four giraffes had their heads down eating at the same time and creating a scene we don’t usually think of when picturing giraffes. In this part of the Kalahari there were many tall trees for the giraffe to utilise their long necks, so instead they had to bend down to reach their lunch.
